How do I use a saved advanced search in Footprints?
Using Footprints Advanced Search Functionality
There are two ways to use a saved search; by adding the search to the top menu, or by not adding it and using it only when needed.
Add custom search to the top menu
First, click customize on the top left.
Then, unintuitively, click New Incident within that page.
Then find the name of the search from that dropdown menu and set a title that won't take up too much room at the top. You can also organize where you want the menu item to appear in the lineup on the right.
Make sure to save.
You will need to refresh before the changes will take effect.
One thing to note is that if a search was created for the whole team but you want it only applied to yourself, just click the dropdown next to Assigned TSE and type in your name next to the filter item.
Using custom search when needed
To do this, just click the dropdown at the top search bar and select Manage Searches.
Then, find the search you want to run and either select it and click run, or click the side box that says run when hovered over.
