What is PrizmDoctor?

PrizmDoctor is a simple, automated support tool for Accusoft's PrizmDoc Application. It collects diagnostic data about the local machine's PrizmDoc installation and forwards it to Accusoft's Support staff, which helps them more quickly diagnose and resolve customer issues.

What data does PrizmDoctor collect on my machine?

PrizmDoctor scans the local machine's drives for any installations of the PrizmDoc application, collects all relevant .log, .txt, and .config files from the installation, system details including information about the platform, available storage devices, and memory. It then sends an archive of that data to Accusoft's Support staff via FTP. If this process is successful, an email notification is sent to update the appropriate ticket number.

How do I use PrizmDoctor?

Upon downloading the application, unzip all of the contents to a folder somewhere on the machine with PrizmDoc installed. If the program was provided to you by our support staff, there may be two files within the folder:

  • (Windows) PrizmDoctor.exe prizmdoctor-config.json
  • (Linux) PrizmDoctor prizmdoctor-config.json

(Otherwise, there may only be the application file itself. You can still run the application even if there is no config file present.)

1. Open PrizmDoctor: Double-click `PrizmDoctor.exe`. You may need administrator privileges.

2. Enter Required Details:

3. Press the Start button.

   - The application will collect system data, compress it, and attempt to send the archive via FTP.
